See feld.zerkabelt.de for more infos. As "teaser", the duo plays experimental music between improvisation, concepts and compositions, using different setups, including acoustic and electronical instruments and live-coding. For Y-E-S Fest, they bring these two artistic practices together, in field:teaser, which is both a concert and a site-specific sound-installation. https://teaser.zerkabelt.de/y-e-s-2022/

Kaj Duncan David ~ Solo

Kaj Duncan David performs solo music from his album 'All Culture Is Dissolving'

Andreas Dzialocha ~ solo

Andreas Dzialocha performs solo music from his album 'For Always LP'

Maikon K ~ Performance

The core focus of his work is the body and its capacity to change perceptions, influenced by a shamanic perspective in which the performer unfolds himself into several different realities through specific body techniques, using song, non-verbal sound, dance, visual signs and ritualized activities. Your interests are states of consciousness, dark humor, the relation sacred-profane, sexuality, intensities, grotesque, to provoke rituals, to test sensibilities.

Marcela Lucatelli ~ "I am a golden god"

In Marcela Lucatelli's “I Am a Golden God” the artist takes us into a synth-pop journey and shakes loose the narratives of progress contained in it. By way of Lucatelli, machine and human are a sole organism and we are invited into the cracks of the technology. A wrestling match between her intensely corporeal vocalisations and the synths capacities for sonic dominance, “I Am a Golden God” shreds, exposes and tenderly caresses the legacy of modernism as Western, technocratic and contingent. In so doing, it opens the cages for the colonial ghosts of monumentalism that have held back liberatory potential for new ways of living the movement contained.

22:00 - 00:00 ~ "Pulp Suede Blur" Workshop @ in Heizhaus

In this workshop the collective of choreographers B A G invites the participants to see and experience physical space though a lens of blurriness. Within our project LANDERS we were exploring ways of shifting our perception in order to sense our everyday surrounding anew. Masking our gaze with grainy transparent filters allows us to see the world around us as an abstract image of colors and blended shapes. What happens when all edges are softened? What disappears and what sticks out? What do we hear? How do we orient ourselves? How does a blurred vision put us in motion and emotion? Which narratives arise? We will dive together into a countour-less performative space, a theatre of light, sound and movement.

Sunday 11.09.

16:00 - 18:00 ~ "Songs of Herbs" Workshop @ in the yard

A participatory workshop-performance informed by Hildegard von Bingen's (1098-1179) body of work, combining experimental vocalization techniques and principals of herbal medicine, with the aim to help anyone find their voice, for singing or for speaking their truth. No previous knowledge is required.

17:00 - 18:30 ~ "Tour Operator" Workshop @ in Heizhaus

Il collettivo antimilitarista C.A.S.C.A.T.A. will lead Tour Operator, an experimental, co-participatory workshop to discover the Mediterranean island Sardinia, 1897 kilometers of beautiful cost, 35000 acres of military zones.

Don't settle for the regular tourist package! Dive into local culture and experiment first-hand with what it really means to live in Sardinia, among immaculate beaches, rural attractions, military bases, lethal weapons and two-headed lambs and discover what hides behind the mask of this tourist paradise!

Through guided play participants will perform and experience the contradictions of life in Sardinia, discovering this maritime paradise, destination of 3 million tourists a year (500 thousand of which came from Germany in 2019).

In my recent life experiment, my early motivation and desires direct me to the verbs of to start and to do something completely lost. Does it matter if I work on this idea? What is my best doing in these circumstances?

Artists

Maikon K

Maikon works at the frontiers of performance, dance and theatre. At the centre of his work is the body and its ability to alter perceptions. He is interested in hybrid dramaturgies, scatological poetics, and the relationship between the sacred and the profane, the sublime and the grotesque. A Brazilian, in 2020 he moved to Berlin with the support of the Martin Roth Initiative for artists at risk. Among his works are: DNA of DAN; The Solar Anus; Cannibal Mist; Ecstasy Machine. https://maikonk.com

Jessie Marino

Jessie Marino is a composer, performer, and media artist from Long Island, New York. her work explores the repetition inside common activities, ritualistic absurdities, and uncovering nostalgic technologies. Jessie’s pieces score out sound, video, physical movements, lighting, and staging, which are then placed within organized temporal structures, fractured narratives and musical frameworks. Much of marino’s interdisciplinary compositional work eschews conventional instrumentation, with scores that ask performers to use their bodies—using precisely articulated gestures, facial expressions, and quotidian physical movements—both as an alternative and a complement to musical sounds. https://www.jessiemarino.com

Marcela Lucatelli

Marcela Lucatelli can already be hailed as one of the most innovative vocalists and composers of her generation. Born in Brazil and based in Denmark, Marcela has earned international recognition for her extremely original, sensuous and politically charged performance works. The composer is known for writing "scores for the limits of bodies and voice" (The Wire). https://www.marcelalucatelli.co

B A G collective (Annegret Schalke, Maya Weinberg, Nattan Igor Dobkin)

B A G is a collective composed of 6 choreographer-performers based in Berlin: Maya Weinberg, Roni Katz, Xenia Taniko, Annegret Schalke, Lisa Densem, Manon Parent. Their shared interests revolve around the ideas of social cohesion through sharing their practice, adaptation to multiple contexts and collecting stories. This “collecting” aspect is what gave the collective its name in 2020, B A G. Inspired by Ursula K. Le Guin's “the carrier bag theory of fiction”, they decided to see their creating as an ever-transforming, sponge-like process, rather than a fixed form that would be seen at some point as a finished object. http://bag-collective.de
